Black Equation is a dark fantasy interactive fiction set in the medieval kingdom of Highgard, where a tyrannical king seeks to destroy his own realm and seize a neighboring throne. As magic spreads and political intrigue tightens, three protagonists — a compassionate mage, a drifting young man, and a loyal knight — are drawn into the unfolding collapse. Players navigate branching storylines through text-based choices that shape relationships, reveal hidden paths, and determine which of 12 endings they reach. The game features 7 interwoven love stories, including LGBTQ+ relationships, where romance that saves one character may doom another. A pure reading experience with no action mechanics — only narrative, atmosphere, and consequence.
