Cuttle
About
Cuttle is an online two-player digital adaptation of the classic card game (by the same name) played with a standard 52-card deck of cards. This version uses minor tweaks to the rules of the traditional game in order to fine-tune the game's balance for competitive play. The original card game, which dates back to at least the 1970s, is widely regarded as one of the earliest examples of a combat-focused card game. Its use of direct player interaction, permanent cards, and tactical resource management predates and foreshadows mechanics later popularized by collectible and trading card games such as Magic: The Gathering. By bringing Cuttle to a digital platform, this online version preserves the depth and elegance of the original design while making one of the foundational games of the genre accessible to a modern audience.
