Each opened Gate reveals a new epistle—fragmented stories that unveil the creation of every layer of the game's universe. On its official page, Cards of Things (Cartas de Coisas) describes itself this way: "There is a game called Cards of Things, which some people believe can replace the weariness of life with a terrible feeling known as Agony. Of course, you don't want to live in Agony: just stay away from these cards. After all, you should be working. You like your job. Staring at the wall. You don't need the torment of Agony."
